For short-staying backpackers or newly arriving students, hostels, such as the Kookaburra Inn, provide great value, while those on a longer stay, visiting workers for example, furnished apartments and flats can be found throughout the city.
For the business traveller, hotels in the CBD, with its links to corporate head offices and the excellent rail link to the airport, are the best option, though the Fortitude Valley area is close by and has two fine hotels in Chester’s and the Emporium.
